Celine x2 Mani Swap! and MORE Beach nails

Hello hello!
Happy Friday!

Today I have a badass collaboration with, in my opinion, one of the best nail artists I've come across!

and not to mention, she's automatically 10x cooler because she has the same name as me.

That's right, a Celine x2 Mani Swap with NailedByCeline

So if you're not part of the Instagram world, a Mani Swap is basically when two artists pick a design of each other's and recreate it.
Here's what we came up with:

The originals are on the top and recreations on the bottom. Sometimes I have trouble picking a design with this kind of collaboration but this one was a no brainer. I fell in love with her beach design as soon as I saw it.
Not to mention that I love her recreation as well. Houndstooth is one of my favorite patterns EVER so I was super excited to see that she chose that design to paint.

I have a few individual pictures as well because I absolutely love this design.

So for my middle finger, I started with Zoya Blu. I mixed a blue polish with a bit of Acetone and green polish with a bit of Acetone to create the jellyish water look. I painted on the palm tree with acrylic paints and added the embellishments (which I got from BornPrettyStore.com) and topped with top coat.

For the sandcastle nail, I started with Wet N Wild French White Creme. Acrylic paint for the details and OPI My Favorite Ornament for the glitter.

I'm kind of sad about how my thumb and ring finger turned out. The original was so well done that mine just look like.... blah.
Anyway I used a makeup sponge to make a gradient of Zoya Jacqueline and China Glaze At Vase Value. If I remember correctly, I used some white acrylic paint to make it blend better as well.
All of the details were done with acrylic paint and topped with top coat.

The pinky was probably the most tricky for me. I don't think I've ever painted a wave before so I had no clue how to go about it. I kind of just winged it and painted dabs of acrylic paint until it looked right. Not too shabby, huh?

Oh and one last picture!

Nothing better than having beach nails at the beach, right?

Hope you enjoyed these as much as I did. Look out for more Mani Swaps in the future!
