Ciaté Monochrome Manicure

Hello everyone!
For today's post I wanted to show you a set I received from Ciaté.

This is their Monochrome Manicure set.

Included in this set is two polishes- a black, called Unrestricted Glam, and a white, Snow Virgin.
and three sheets of nail vinyls.

The idea behind this set is kind of an easy, simple black and white mani using nail vinyls. You can see the model's nails on the cover in my first picture, and they look pretty nice.

As you can see above, there's 6 basic shapes of stickers.

1. thick straight lines
2. chevron
3. curve, kind of like a french tip vinyl
4. Zig zag
5. thinner straight lines
6. rectangles (?)

Here's what I came up with:

The patterns are pretty simple, but I do like how they look together.

For my index finger I used the thinner straight line vinyls, these worked nicely and placing them wasn't too difficult.
For my middle finger I used one of the rectangle vinyls. It definitely wasn't the easiest to do, but with a little touch up, I liked this negative space look.
On my ring finger I used the single chevron vinyl. I like this once but I definitely feel like it's a tad bit too thick. I would have liked less of the nail to be "negative space" if that makes sense?
and lastly on my pinky I used the french tip/half moon vinyl. This vinyl worked nicely, I think it's a bit too small for my other nails if I wanted the same half-moon look, so that was disappointing.

Overall, I thought this was a nice set. Is it amazing and special? Well no, but the idea is very classy and simplistic, which is great. The two polishes apply nicely.
I really wish, however, that most of the vinyls were thinner because I feel like they're very thick and if you have shorter nails, they'll definitely consume your nails and not allow for much actual polish. Just something to keep in mind before purchasing!

This set is available at Sephora stores for $25. I hope I covered everything! Let me know if you like simple manicures like this. Have you tried nail vinyls? Did you like them?

Talk to you soon!
