Rainbow Watermarble

Let me start off this post by saying that as long as I've been doing nail art (all of like a year), I've never tried or been tempted to try watermarbling. I'm not a huge fan of the outcome and frankly I didn't think I'd be able to pull it off.

However, when it's summer time and you are completely bored, sometimes you get strange urges to try new things you previously despised.

Without further ado, here's my watermarbled nails.

This was actually my third official attempt. The polishes I used are shown below.

The Wet n Wild polishes are perfect for watermarbling because they're cheap and spread out nicely. The white polish was my base color.

I'm actually really happy with how these turned out. They are much better than my first attempt. I took a very embarrassing picture of my first try with the sole purpose of showing my boyfriend I couldn't watermarble to save my life.

Yeah let's not speak of this. Somehow my thumb came out halfway decent and that's what made me determined to keep trying. The second attempt wasn't much better.

Back to the pretty pictures.

One thing I learned: Tape off your fingers! Don't use petroleum jelly. I promise this will help immensely. The petroleum jelly was a complete mess and it was just terrible.

Okay. Watermarbled nails are my new favorite thing ever. You'll probably be seeing more from me because I'm obsessed.

Thank you for reading!
